Need to start a background, without knowledge of your screen size? This may be simple, but even I had trouble when I started making backgrounds.

1. Right click your desktop screen, and scroll down to screen resolution. You will find that it gives you measurements, in pixel size. Mine is 1680 x 1050 The basics of photoshop #1 (written) 29vxdox

2. Open up your photoshop.

Select "pixel" and type in your screen resolution. Again, mine is 1680 x 1050. Click it, and get to work!
