| there are mods that allows capes and maybe it's just automatic when notch plays in a minecraft server he has a cape. but it probably wasn't him. i have seen many people who logins with his name just for fun. | |

The cape is not a mod, it is something put into the game by Notch for people who attend MineCon or buy it, and the only cape you can get w/ out hacking something is the creeper face cape. The Mojang cape is for Mojang members only. | |
