SKILLS AND THEIR EFFECTS

Swords
Edit

Swords

The Swords skills will give you even more reason to stab monsters between the eyes. Gaining skill in swords will help your swordsmanship of course, allowing you to perform a parry. Parries happen automatically and negate all damage. Higher skill levels will lead to parrying more often. High levels of Swords will let you gouge your enemies and bleed them to death.

Ability

Serrated Strikes will deal +25% damage and apply Bleed+ to enemies within a small radius of your target, how many enemies you can apply Bleed+ to will depend on the Sword Quality.

Parry

Parry will negate all damage.
Each point in Swords gives an additional 0.03% chance to parry, capping at skill level 1000 for 30%

Counter Attack

Counter attack is a new feature added to increase the viability of swords. As you level up your sword skill your chance to counter / riposte an attack will go up. A counter attack will reflect 1/2 the dmg a player would recieve back to the attacker. The word 'Would' is used because one can PARRY an attack negating all dmg, then Riposte as well. Counter Attack was added in the PVP balancing patch of 9.11.
Each point in Swords gives an additional 0.05% chance to counter-attack, capping at skill level 600 for 30%

Bleed/Bleed+

Bleed Table
Bleed Type

Total Damage
Bleed Minor
2
Bleed Major

Bleed+

Bleed will cause enemies to take damage every 2 seconds. If you apply bleed to a monster it will bleed until it bleeds to death. The duration of the bleed is increased by your sword skill. At 1000 swords the bleed will last for 6 ticks causing 1/2 a heart every second, for a total of 3 hearts. With Serrated Strikes active, any person hit by the AoE Bleed, will bleed for 150% the normal duration, 9 ticks or 4 and 1/2 hearts. The chance to apply bleed is .1% for every skill level in Swords, with a max cap of 75% at 750 skill.
Bleed normally lasts for 2 seconds, however if your Swords skill is above 750 it will last for one tick longer than normal. Serrated strikes applies Bleed+ which lasts for 5 ticks regardless of skill.
Bleeds can have their duration increased if another Bleed is applied. For example, say the player had 1 bleed on himself with 3 ticks remaining and another Bleed was applied with a value of 3 ticks, he would now have a Bleed wound that will bleed for 6 ticks.

Axes
Embrace your inner viking with the axes skill. No longer are axes just for obsessively chopping down forests. With the axes skill, players will be able to do critical hits, instantly killing monsters and causing severe damage to players. As your skill increases, your chance to critically strike will too. At a certain skill level Axes damage will even be upgraded. What axe you use matters for the damage scaling, use a Diamond Axe for maximum damage. Using a Gold Axe, however, causes zombies to ignite instantaneously at skill level 350+ and causes creepers to explode at 450+.
Axes are one bad ass skill!

Ability
Skull Splitter will let players cleave and hit multiple enemies at once, transferring the equivalent damage divided in half to cleaved opponents.

Axe Mastery
At 500+ skill level in Axes, you will begin to do a bonus 4 damage to opponents, equivalent to 2 hearts

Critical Strikes
For every skill level in Axes you gain .1% chance to deal a Critical Strike causing double damage to opponents, this skill caps out at 75% chance or 750 skill level.

UNARMED
Unarmed is a skill where the player uses their fists to defend themselves. Like all Combat Skills, the Unarmed skill does not gain experience from attacking friendly mobs.

Berserk will finally let you take out your hatred on Dirt and Farm animals. Berserk grants a 1% bonus damage modifier to combat and lets the player instantly break soft materials, such as Dirt, Grass, Clay, Sand, and Gravel.

Disarming
Unarmed allows players to disarm other players. The chance to disarm is .025% times a player's current skill level in Unarmed and can go up to a maximum of 100% at level 1000.

Damage Modifiers
Unarmed skill scales the Damage of Unarmed attacks as you gain more skill.

Archery - Shooting arrows was cool in vanilla minecraft... For about five minutes. This skill looks to change that as archery allows your damage to increase at higher levels, not to mention that you can eventually daze players, providing a very hampering pvp effect. In addition to this, higher levels of archery will let you retrieve arrows from corpses.
At level 50 Archery, you will deal more damage, enough to kill hostile mobs in four shots rather than the normal five shots.

Archery Skills:
Ignition: 25% flat rate to ignite enemies, the duration of which increases as your Archery level increases.
Arrow Retrieval: Chance to recover arrows from an enemy killed by the archer.
Daze: Chance to daze an enemy player on a successful hit. (Daze temporarily stuns the target and forces them to look straight up or straight down.)
■If the player hit by an arrow, deflects, parries, or dodges an arrow, NO secondary effect will be applied.*

Excavation in mcMMO provides a passive ability to dig more blocks and find treasures buried beneath the earth. What you find is based on your skill level and the type of material you are excavating.
Giga Drill Breaker Edit

Giga Drill Breaker allows the Digger to quickly clear excavation materials and receive triple drops and triple XP. The Giga Drill Breaker ability damages the tool twice as much as normal during use. The length of Giga Drill Breaker is based on your skill level. Note: Giga Drill Breaker will only activate when breaking blocks that give experience points .

Treasure HuntEdit

Excavation allows you to find extra material while digging through mundane blocks, every time you dig a block mcMMO will give you a chance to obtain EVERY item you can find in the block you're digging. Since every available item gets his own roll, you might get up to 10 different drops giving you the sum of their 10 XP values, if you're lucky enough, of course.

The exception to that being Flint and Gravel, if you get one you won't get the other, same with the Brown Mushroom and the Red Mushroom, you will get one or the other.

Mining in mcMMO provides a passive ability to receive double drops from ores and stone and an active ability to increase mining speed.

Super Breaker

Mining has the Super Breaker Ability, which allows the Miner to quickly clear mining materials and obtain Triple Drops. However, the Super Breaker ability damages the tool twice as much as normal during use. The length of Super Breaker is based on your Mining skill level. Also you have a small percentage of getting a triple drop on any ore, or block that is related to the mining list.

Note: Super Breaker only works on blocks that can be mined for experience points.

Note: that Super Breaker while using a iron pickaxe does NOT work on redstone ore! [Glitch]

Drop Rate

The Double Drop rate is based on a players mining skill. Every point in mining gives the player a 0.1% extra chance to get double drops. The maximum benefit is a skill of 1000, which provides a drop rate of 100%. Players can view their drop rate by typing "/mining" in-game.

Herbalism provides a series of benefits tied to vegetables in the minecraft universe, improved healing from some food, extra effects on seeds, and improved harvesting or every kind of plant (and mushrooms, which technically are not plants).

Contents
[show]

HealingEdit

When McMMO is installed, Bread and Mushroom Stew will heal proportionally to your Herbalism level.

Ability and Sub-Ability
Green Terra Herbalism has the Green Terra ability, which allows the herbalist to automatically succeed at green thumb checks by clicking with the hoe on the desired block while the ability is active, as long as the player has seeds in his inventory. It also grants a chance for x3 drops when harvesting plants. It can be activated when right-clicking with a hoe equipped. Green Thumb Green Thumb is a sub-ability that can be activated using seeds, however it differs from Green Terra as the effect can fail, and the Seeds will be consumed whenever it is attempted, regardless of success or failure. It has different effects when used on different blocks. Passive ■ When collecting fully-grown wheat, there is a chance to instantly re-plant the wheat. The wheat will start in a certain stage based on the herbalism level. Seeds aren't required. ■ Level 0 - 199 will sometimes randomly produce a stage 0 wheat. Level 200 - 399 will sometimes randomly produce a stage 1 wheat. It will keep on increasing every 200 levels

■When seeds are used on dirt or cobblestone, the block has a chance to instantly become grassy or mossy, respectively with the chance of it working increasing each Herbalism level.

Woodcutting is a skill related to the gathering of wood from trees.

Tree Feller aka 'AoE Lumbering' is an active ability that gives an AoE wood chopping effect to your axe, while consuming it twice as much.

To use it:
■ Right click while wielding an axe (**YOU READY YOUR AXE**)
■ Start hitting a log
■ Items in an area around the mined wood will be harvested as well.

It has a default cooldown of 4 minutes.

In the config.yml file you can alter both the Durability Loss Rate (defaults to 2, as in 200% of the usual rate) and the cooldown duration.

Leafblower

Leafblower aka Foliage Nuker is the "secondary" ability of Woodcutting, available from Level 100. With leafblower, whenever you tap with your left mouse button on a leaf block wielding an axe(→), the leaf block disappears and drops a sapling 10% of the times( + (×10%)).

It has no cooldown or configuration, you just need to be Woodcutting Level 100 and you can use it all the time.

Double Drop Edit

As most gathering skills, Woodcutting has a Double Drop passive ability that gives you a chance to obtain 2 logs every time you cut a new one, remember that this only works on naturally born trees (including those you grew from saplings), logs you placed from your inventory, wooden planks, leaves, or any other block, won't give you a Double Drop chance from Woodcutting.

By default Woodcutting's Double Drop only works while wielding an Axe, but you can alter that in the configuration.

The formula for the Double Drop chance is:

Meaning that once you hit Level 1000 you will be guaranteed a Double Drop every time ()

Acrobatics - Finally the days of spraining your ankle have paid off. No longer will you look down a 100 meter drop with fear. With the acrobatics skill your ability to negate fall damage increases. And how do you negate fall damage? By rolling of course, a secret passed down through the Minecraftian ages. You can tap into this mysterious 'rolling' ability by falling and training your body. If you're good enough you will never have to worry about fall damage again.

Rolling

Rolling is based on the acrobatics skill level, for every point in Acrobatics players have a .1% chance to Roll.

The chance on a Graceful Roll is .2% for every point in acrobatics. To make a Graceful Roll hold shift while falling. This can also reduce the damage greatly.

Experience TableEdit
■See: Experience Points

Training MethodsEdit

A fast way to train this skill is if your server supports lifts from a plugin like Craftbook . You can then build a small tower approximately 13 blocks high and build the lift. You then simply have to walk off the edge, then use the lift to go back up. You can also do this with ladders (although it is much slower). Beware that you will take 4.5 hearts (9 points) of damage from falling from this height. You may want to wait a while before jumping again, or bring food.

Grind tower:

This method has been patched in an update to prevent gaining such high acrobatics. The grind tower uses a guaranteed death and a respawn at a bed and to maximise experience. To build one, build a pillar up to the ceiling, placing ladders on one side. Build a small platform on the second-highest allowable space, such that your player is at y=128.6 when standing on it. Put a bed there. Put a hole on the floor to fall through.

Climb down the tower and build a platform under this hole such that a player standing on it is at y=107.6. Interestingly, if you jump immeiately after respawning, you will be immune from damage for a few seconds, but will still get XP for the blocked damage. This first fall is designed to take advantage of that by causing 18 points (9 hearts) for a normal fall, but leaving the quick jumper at full health. Leave a hole or ledge towards the next platform, and another towards the ground.

Build a third platform such that a player standing on it is at y=86.6. This will cause 19 points of damage if one does not roll. Note that one should not attempt a graceful roll here. Leave a ledge facing the fourth platform

The fourth platform should be built such that a player standing on it at y=76.6. A regular fall to here will cause 4 hearts of damage. This ledge is in case the jumper rolls on the third, leaving him with 4.5 hearts. Otherwise, this is fatal.

The last platform, hopefully at or near ground level, is at 71.6. A player falling here will take their last half-heart of damage if they do not roll. Because it is possible to survive to this point, have a device that guarantees a death, such as a chunk of burning Netherrack or exposed lava. This should not be directly where jumpers land, else they will not get XP.

For jumpers approaching or above level 500, where a graceful roll is guaranteed if attempted, the best method for training is to jump directly from the second platform to the fifth (107 to 71) and attempt a graceful roll. If successful, they will have only half a heart left, so they can jump directly into the flames to die and restart the jump.

Repair, thousands of days of being obsessed with dwarven craftsmanship will finally pay off, gained by reforging old and battered equipment, this skill helps the player use less resources when repairing with an anvil. Become the Master Smith you always wanted to be, with the Repair Skill!
RepairEdit

McMMO re-purposes Iron blocks in Minecraft as Anvils. Approach an anvil with your tool and right click to repair it. If you have enough spare resources in your inventory you will repair the Item (for example, if your equipment had nearly broken, you would need 1 Iron bar to fully repair an Iron shovel, and 3 Iron bars to fully repair an iron pickaxe).

The durability restored will gain a bonus of 0.2% per level. So at level 100 you are repairing for 20% more than you normally would.

In order to use an anvil to repair a Diamond Item, you must have sufficient repair skill(50).

The percentage of how much a piece of equipment will be repaired using one resource.

Not all the items who have a durability can be repaired though, Leather Armor, Flint and Steel, and Fishing Rods are not supported. If your server doesnt have MCMMO then it wont work.

Super Repair
When repairing, players have a chance to double the amount repaired based on their Repair skill. Each extra level in the Repair Skill gives the player a .1% extra chance to activate the Super Repair ability (for example, a player with level 45 in the Repair skill has a 4.5% chance of activating the ability). A player can identify when he/she performs a Super Repair when the text "That felt easy." appears in the chat box'

Training

To train Repair, you'll need to damage your equipment and repair it. That takes along time right? Well, I found a way to get around that. I call this speedpairing. Basically this will only work with an iron sword. You should wear it down to a little past half way. There is a glitch that prevents it from going 100% and stops at 99%. You can keep repairing the sword to get the experience. Be warned though it will still require the resources to repair it so don't expect free exp
